Snow Storm Parking and Snow Storage

When winter storms happen, the Association utilizes visitor parking spots to store snow. This prevents huge piles of snow at the end of homeowner driveways and attempts to preserve the property from snow plow damage.

If snow is extremely heavy or if it lasts from numerous days, we may have to utilize additional parking spaces for snow storage in order to keep the driveways and street properly plowed.

The following link shows a map of the community highlighting available visitor parking and snow storage.

Sprinkler System In Unit Main Control Location

It is important for homeowners to know where and what certain portions of the sprinkler system they have control over within the unit.  In an emergency such as a broken sprinkler head or broken pipe where water is running into the unit, it is perfectly acceptable to locate and shut off the water supply to the sprinkler system.  This will alert the fire department and local management company to your home for assistance.  They will give further direction at that time, but being able to stop water flowing into your unit inadvertently will help reduce costly repairs.

2017 Summer Newsletter

Below is what’s in the news for Summer 2017:

~Safety Items~
With the warmer weather many people are out walking. Please drive slow through the area and look for children and walkers.
We have several new families in the association that have children playing outside.

~Landscaping~
With all this heat and very little rain our shrubs and bushes may need a little extra care. Please water the bushes once in a while if you are able, especially if leaves are starting to brown or are dry.

~Trash Cans~
Please make sure to bring your trash cans inside in a timely manner. Association rules also require they be stored inside the garage on non-garbage days. Also, please make sure your garbage cans are properly secured on windy days.

~Dog Owners~
Pet waste must be cleaned up immediately! This is an Association rule and a City Ordinance which carries a fine. Dog tie-outs are not allowed at any time. Owners must be present any time a pet is outside the unit or on common ground.

~Next Meeting~
June 20th @ 7:00 pm | Topics Include: Tree Trimming, Concrete Work, Potential Speed Bumps, Dry Sprinkler System Removal, Assn Website, etc.

~Dryer Vents~
It is the recommendation of the fire prevention bureau that all dryer vents be cleaned no less then every five years. Dryer fires are one of the leading causes of residential fires in Illinois. A clogged dryer vent will also cause your clothes to dry at a slower pace and shorten the life of your dryer. Call Bluestone for a list of recommended companies.

~Parking Passes~
Make sure you are using your association parking passes when in guest parking areas.  Alpine towing has been instructed to patrol the complex for illegally parked vehicles.
